A custom shower can be a curbless walk-in in honed marble, a steam enclosure with a lit niche, or a linear-drain shower with a rainfall head set where you stand. Each one is built on a certified waterproofing assembly and flood-tested before the first tile, so the part you never see is proven sound before any stone goes on.
Before tile, every pan is filled and the water line marked, and that line has to hold before anything is covered. Installed to manufacturer spec, the assembly beneath carries a lifetime warranty.

Drawn first
Layout, drain position, niche, and bench are drawn to your room before a single cut. The decisions happen on paper, not against a deadline.

Sealed as one
The pan and walls are built as one warrantied waterproofing assembly over a substrate brought dead level.

Set and tested
The crew that builds the pan sets the last tile, and every shower is flood-tested before you ever see it.

Substrate, brought level
Framing and backer board set flat and solid before anything is sealed.

Sloped pan
A mortar bed pitched to the drain so the floor sheds water on a single plane.

Bonded membrane
A sheet waterproofing membrane over the pan and up every wet wall.

Sealed seams and corners
Banded at the wall-to-floor joint and every inside corner, the weak points made watertight.

Linear drain
Set at the low point for a curbless entry that drains fully and rolls in flush.

Tile, set flat
Thinset and level clips, then a flood test before the first tile is ever grouted in for good.

How do you know a shower will not leak?
Every pan is flooded and watched before tile. A leak found in an hour never becomes a leak inside a wall, and the waterproofing carries a lifetime warranty.
Can you build a curbless shower in an older home?
Yes. We set precise slope to a linear drain so the entry rolls in flush, even in the uneven framing of an older cottage.
What waterproofing do you use?
Certified Schluter systems, installed to the manufacturer’s spec. The assembly behind the tile is as sound as the surface you see.
Can you build a steam shower?
Yes. A steam shower needs a fully sealed enclosure and a sloped ceiling, both of which we detail and waterproof so the vapor stays in the room and out of your walls.
What is a linear drain and do I need one?
A linear drain runs along one edge so the floor slopes in a single plane. It is what makes large-format tile and a curbless entry possible, and it looks clean.
